Scorpions: Scorpions reach the age of maturity after about 6 years. Very few actually live to the age of maturity. Scorpions use smell and vibrations to find a mate and reproduce. Scorpions do a reproductive dance when they find a mate. Mating can take 1 hour to 1 day to complete. After mating the two scorpions will leave and most likely never see each other again. If the male doesn’t leave quickly enough, the female may kill and eat him. The babies are in gestation from five months to a year until they are birthed from their mother’s body. After the children are born, they live on their mother’s back for roughly three weeks before they can move on their own.
