Sand Dollars: Sand dollars reproduce like many other animals in the water. A female will lay unfertilized eggs on the sea floor and wait for them to be fertilized by a male. A male sand dollar will then fertilize the eggs by releasing his sperm into the water. Once the eggs are fertilized, they will begin to develop. Once the sand dollar’s egg is fertilized enough, it will become a larva and begin to grow into a sand dollar.
