Lumbricus Terrestris: These earthworms are hermaphrodites, meaning each worm has both female and male organs. The worms mate by going head to head and crawl. The worms leave the clitellum, which leads to containing many eggs and sperm. Male earthworms have 1 or 2 testes. In males, there are about 3 pairs of seminal vesicles which produce, store and release the sperm. The worms produces about 40 eggs per year and the reproducing is done in pairs where eggs from one worms ovaries pass through female genital pores to be fertilized outside of the body by sperm from the other worm from male genital pores.
