Box Jellyfish: A box jellyfish’s reproduction process includes both sexual and asexual phases. The sexual phase requires a female jellyfish to release eggs, and a male jellyfish to fertilize them. The fertilized eggs become larvae, then polyps. The polyps reproduce asexually by budding, young jellyfish grow on the polyp and are released to swim free and grow into adults.
